Now GP sold a lot of watches to South America, but unfortunately many pieces are not properly serviced and often come with neutral cases when there was a solid gold case before.

But the missing calibre is in fact a miracle; i still can?t make up my mind what may have been the reason to do so, as the rest of the movement engraving is likely the other versions i?ve seen so far. Even the jewel count is included, but no statement if it is an adjusted piece.

So that?s another little mystery of the past to be solved in the future

Hi Syuji, interesting! I suspect this to be a 1940?s GP 27 or GP 30 calibre (based on an AS1130 ebauche), of which GP had several versions. These are 13 ligne (almost 30mm) movements and quite nice ones, very reliable and sturdy. Here?s another one: What ...
