New member seeking info on Sea Hawk

Hi,

I am new to this forum and came across it recently. I just bought a GP Sea Hawk from a friend of mine for Eur 900. I would appreciate if someone could give a rough estimate on weather I made a good deal or not. As I said I bought it from a frined of mine but he is also a watch dealer so...

I bought it because I really liked the looks of it. He said that the watch is about 10 years old but is in excellent condition. Tha watch is stainless steel, with an original leather band, has a black dial with 6, 9 and 12 numbers on it and a date on the 3 o'clock position. The rotating part aroung the dial is stainless steel with gold letters on black background. The GP logo on the winding knob is styled, meaning that the P looks to be inside the G. The writing on the front dial: Girrard-Perregaux, Automatic, Sea Hawk, 500m,1650ft and on the back we have : Girrard-Perregaux, Sea Hawk, 500m,1650ft, No. A 917 and 7100. The back is screwed with 6 small screws. I can post a picture too.

It is a beautiful watch and I immediately fell in love with it. My friend said that it is in perfect working order.

I would very much appreciate some advice on this watch.

Thanks and keep up the great work

Kosta.

G'day, the reference 7100 Sea Hawk models go back quite a bit. These were introduced in 1989 as an extension to GP´s then popular "GP 7000" line, which almost all came with ETA-based movements: I like these ref. 7100 Sea Hawks quite a bit; nice, comfortab...

Thank you Peter
