These are brass units, used to calibrate and test the machinery for proper milling within the necessary tolerances. The "real thing" for the GP Automatic Tourbillon is solid Platinum.

You may notice the difference in dimensions; given the small contact surface and the weight of the microrotor, the ceramic ball bearing is in fact an improvement for the reasons noted for the full-rotor bearings.
