Looks like my Retour en Vol's grandfather wink It was the blue subdial and second hands that got me initially on this one but it is the classic beauty and design of the dial that I continue to admire -- especially the hour markers. The way they "light-up" in sunlight reminds me of my Panerai's or my Sea Hawk II at night!

Here is a watch that comes back to the forum from time to time, even if time has passed since it was introduced in 1999. It had a short life span and took its place in a vast collection of classical chronographs in the last ten years. Girard-Perregaux 494...

I has really unlucky, because I did reserve one of those beauties in a ebay shop just couple of days ago (and I would have bought it - I just wanted to check with my girlfriend over the weekend for another watch that I would have bought in the same shop f...
