I would love to own it but it's not sensible! I have a ton of watch legends to get acquainted to before buying such pieces
You know what I mean?

Girard-Perregaux, Sea Hawk Cobalt Blue, Novelty 2014
By: blomman Mr Blue : April 22nd, 2014-06:40
Girard-Perregaux Sea Hawk reference: Blue technological rubber strap - 49960-19-431-FK4A, Steel bracelet - 49960-19-431-11A Cobalt blue and coral orange, this gives the Sea Hawk a very sporty and marine feeling. The Sea Hawk dates to the early 1940s , hav...
You know what? I like this watch more and more.
By: amanico : April 22nd, 2014-07:25
While I am not convinced by the Traveller Line, I must say that the Sea Hawk pleases me a lot. I thought, on the pictures, that the Watch was way too big, thick and chunky, in fact it is pretty cool. I totally agree with you on your preference. The Black ...
Honestly, I think many of the GP watches ...

To be very honest, many GP are not very photogenic.... Like you said, in photos they may feel big and somewhat clumsy... But once you see them in real and try them on your wrist, they don't feel big or clumsy at all ! :) For example the JLC NSA which also...
My personal favourite:

Lovely article although my favourite version is... In steel: nice and heavy as it should be ;) ...
You have the Sea Hawk, Epilogue?! :)
By: blomman Mr Blue : April 22nd, 2014-10:46
Did I miss this or did you not present it here?! Congratulation! :) My personal preference is for this blue version or the missions of Mermaids Special Edition that was released last year. I saw the Mermaid on Mr. Sofisti's wrist and I must say I really l...
It's good strategy...

"Fill the gaps" first and add others later... I have become more flexible on this point... Why? Because there will always be gaps in a collection and you will never have the chance fill them all or to go back later to all the watches you "waited" with... ...
I like it!

a lot. Especially, the blue or should I say only the blue. Both rubber and bracelet match perfectly. And the touch of orange is the icing on the cake. This is a cool diver sports watch. I also agree on the all black. For people who want to follow a trend ...
well

if you want to be fashionable, get an AP ROO as your sports watch. Nothing wrong with it, BTW, but walk into any hotel lobby or airport lounge in the world and within 30min you spot half a dozen ROO. While I travel a lot, I only "bumped into" 2 other GPs....
It wasn't always like that...
By: SALMANPK : April 22nd, 2014-12:45
there was a time when you would rarely see a ROO or RO but agree in the last 5 years or so they have become more common. S
True

Already tried it on my wrist

and I decided it fits well. Check out the GP App for iPhone... for some virtual fun. :) CC ...

Well, I guess it would be possible to exchange the blue rubber strap for any other of the Sea Hawk straps or bracelets... Not sure if it would be possible to put a leather strap on since the special lug shape. Well, my friend - I know you like blue dials....
GP ... Hmmmm.. Why not ?.. There are some attractive offers..
By: hs111 : April 27th, 2014-12:17
.. For example I like the WT Traveller in SS (or Titanium ??) - but as of yet, these are still a bit distant desires .. Nevertheless, I get more and more interested in GP, and I am frequently browsing the GP- forum as well, also - among others - to read y...

Thanks Blomman for this article. It is indeed a watch with character and this version is my fav one. Is it enough to make it appealing to me? That's another question and I will try to answer it in the article I will write about it. Fx ...
