Date windows...why oh why...???
Dec 22, 2014,03:01 AM
I just don't understand it. The designers at watch companies are paid to obsess over the details of the products they design. And somehow the vast majority of them completely ignore everything, it seems, about the date windows they put on their watches - from the way the aperture in the dial is designed, to the colours of the date wheel. So here we have a rather beautiful dial which has been simply sliced open and a wheel that makes no reference to the dial colour (it's not even blue on white; it's black on white!) sits underneath.
Can someone please explain it to me?!?
