An interesting Tourbillon for swimmers. GP / Panerai.

GP / Panerai?? Yes, you read well. There were soem connections between the 2 brands, as GP provided some movements to the italian brand, an Alarm, if I remember well, and... And a Tourbillon with three ( rose ) gold bridges encased in a 42 mm Radiomir case, made of platinum.

It is water resistant to 100 meters, and the case weight a good 113 grams! Solid case back, in platinum, as well as the bezel.

Ok, we don't have the same level of finish than in a movement made by and for GP, but it is a quite surprising outcome, don't you think?

You love it or you don"t, no problems, there are almost no chances you find one, as this Reference ( PAM 77 ) was made in two pièces only, in the C series, so in year 2000.

Best,

Nicolas

in the combination of this tourbillon with the 3 bridge design and the design of the rest of the watch, like the hands, and the case. They seem to not fit together but it is done in such a way that it becomes a likeable weirdness. Never knew before that G...

Absolutely bizarre.

I like the case, but the watch is not really a successful pairing of two icons. It could've been done in a compelling fashion, but this is just a mishmash -- and not in a good way! Cheers, Daos

The Purist sentence. I totally get your point.

But you have to go back 15 years ago, at a time where Tourbillons were as rare as a tooth in a hence mooth. ;) It was quite daring, to say the least. Best, Nicolas
