The Evo Moon

Available from November 2006 at selected authorized dealers, Girard-Perregaux added a new family member in the "Laureato" line with a decidedly sportive, but elegant model. Since 2003, it is the first new model which features a non-chronograph. In addition, it combines three propietory achievements of GP´s R&D department; these are already sought after features in other models and this time, it´s the first watch to include all three: The brand new moon phase indication is coupled to the ba...

As you wish - a couple more pics of the 2006 Haute Horlogerie range.

G'day, Per your request, some weekend pictures A stunning detail of the Sapphire Bridges is the fact it can look so different; the Platinum bezel can be very close to the Titanium case and likewise "grey-ish", like the plate: The "Equation of Time", which i find a most beautiful perpetual calendar (and it´s not easy to identify being such, unless you have a close look at the sub dial). That makes it an understated beauty, despite the number of indications: The...

Substantial.... (another bunch of modem-killers ahead...)

G'day, Today I'd like to have a closer look on what i regard a great fun watch. It's bold, it's different, it's not small at all and now it comes in Rose Gold! New for 2006, the Sea Hawk Pro "Flying Tourbillon" in Rose Gold is a hefty addition for GP's "Pour BMW ORACLE RACING" line. Like it's 2005 cousin in Titanium, it is a limited edition of 32 units only and sold out: And it comes with a nice dial either: The Rose Gold casework requires a special trick to enhance stability; after all, t...

GP - The Cat's Eye - Some girl's best friends.

G'day, I thought another look at two particularly interesting new 2006 models by GP might be appreciated; this time it's ladies time The Cat's Eye range already is a very successful line, due to the unusual shape and the manufacture-made movements. New for 2006 are the "Bi-Retrograde" and a variant with baguette diamond setting, which i find both interesting and spectacular, without being obstrusive: The special twist for baguette setting is the size of the jewels, but the way they are made as wel...

The Sapphire Bridges, back view

G'day, On request in the earlier thread, here´s the back view of the second Sapphire Bridges Tourbillon. As noted before, it’s a prototype and not perfect; in that aspect, the units in production for customers will be different. Yet the very fine and elaborate hand-made finish will be the same, as well as the "black gold" coating: As you see, there´s a bit of dust, both on the back crystal and my camera. Which may proof it´s a "real" shot taken "in the wild" and not a promo picture What...
