Girard Perregaux Pocket Watch

Jul 13, 2004,11:11 AM

I have a gold backed pocket watch given to me in 1960 when my grandfather passed away.

The watch is in excellent condition and appears to run perfectly. My best guess is the watch was purchased in the period of 1930-1950.

Can anyone give me an idea of its value??

I have a photo file I can send if that helps.

Thanks, DMN56

Hi David, you?re welcome. Based on the input so far, i?d say it?s a mid 1940?s to 1950?s piece. The movement is a 17ligne GP calibre 23, which is based on an ebauche by AS. To my experience it has been used almost exclusively for the US markets, which is ...
