We started to make Olimpico chronographs from the 1968 games in Mexico. It was an idea of our mexican importer at the time.

The reference 9245 FA on the pic is from 1976, so it corresponds to the games in Montreal. We made 1.000 units at a retail price of CHF 495.--.

The watch here is in pretty poor condition. I do not know how much the seller asks for it, but you have to add more than 1.000 CHF if we have to restore it.

Do you think your Heritage Department would agree to post a document about the serial / movement numbers and the correspodance with years of production? That would be very helpful,if they have such a document, to share it with us. Best, and thanks in adva...

thanks Lou, i just knew he was wrong as it just doesnt look like an early 60’s watch. i’d already written it off as he was pretty rude when i asked for some more pictures. it’ll be a nice watch for someone who isnt obsessed with the year of manufacture th...

I've seen an Italian GP book extract which shows the correct models for 1960 through 1968, and they are more in line with what one would expect of '60s design. The one that you have, Graham, is way to funky for the '60s! Regards, Tony C.

I don't hang out here all that often and had no idea that there was a participant from the company - what a boon! I'll take advantage to ask a question. The picture I posted earlier.... ...shows rather more models than one would expect for one every four ...
