Part 2 On the Water
Apr 30, 2024,00:25 AM
The beach was just down the street from the park.
It had everything you would expect. Sunshine, surf, surfers,
strolling, sunbathing (safely covered, I checked)
(here too)
Standing up on the curb I noticed a Mercedes was coming down the street. This is a 300 SEL 6.3 circa 1970 - quite valuable today and this one was pristine.
My college roommate Bob's dad bought one of these new and drove us down to their cabin on the Colorado River.
About 100 mph across the desert and the A/C was cold enough to create ice on the dash vents (or so it seemed at the time).
We hopped in the car and started spotting some nice rides.
This Hummer H1 was a surprise, and the little van at the curb was a JDM special import I think. But what's that down below on the cross street?
A baby-blue Cybertruck! Honestly?
Shaking our heads, we went on down to the Bay.
Yes, she was more or less covered in all the important places.
Lots of bikers, hikers, dog likers, etc.
Scooter riders.
Pelicans.
Water skiiers and wake boarders.
Galore.
My stomach says it's Time for Lunch. The Aqua Lung agrees.
Notice the Cybertruck rear wheels are able to turn to enhance parking and cornering.
Not just a blue wrap but a blue model to go with it.
I hope the back-up camera works on the Tesla because that Volvo would have no chance...
We stopped to pick up some food on the way home, and this bottle of wine looked interesting. Here's a test : Does anyone know what a Witness Mark is? (I do)
And at home there was a box on the porch, from a neighbor. Yay!
Thanks for coming along with us on this beautiful Spring day in San Diego.
