I am afraid
Oct 25, 2014,12:58 PM
Probably due to my relative lack of culture of all things GP, I see a few trees rather than a forest.
There are a few of my friend's watches, some very nice dating form the 1930's, and mine that I like a lot, of which a rare Type XX.
The 'casquette' is very emblematic.... Then there is what I have read especially about their first wrist watches and their better known models, such as the 1945 or the Gyromatic, whitout being personally drawn to either of them.
Quite a fragmented, not especially compelling image, I am afraid.
When it comes to their modern offerings, I don't think I am in their target group. I'd rather go for more mainstream watches or for watches from smaller AHCI, where I feel I am not just a number... In that respect, for me, GP is not different from quite a few other brands.
Just my 2 cents.
