GP: Beauty, even in the smallest things...

You remember I showed you a photo of an old Pocket Watch movement not long ago...Many of you were surprised by the straight lines on the bridges. That is something many of Girard-Perregaux vintage movements has in common. What surprise me is how GP is able to make their movements so beautiful even with "plain straight lines"!

This is a very small movement 14 x 10 x 3 mm. Manual, 17 jewels, unadjusted.

Not decorated, has probably been mounted in a small 1950's ladies watch.

Still, I can't help finding these straight lines beautiful!smile

Are an overlooked treasure! In all senses of the word ;P These small movements (vintage ones usually) were finished to very high standards (I'm thinking of PP, VC, AP, etc) and usually nobody cares to appreciate them, but they are really quite spectacular...

S, you should do it! :)

Yes, a lot of hidden treasures among the ladies movements! :) I know my watchmaker don't like to work on these since everything is much smaller which makes it more difficult.... Much like ladies in general...! ;) Best Blomman
