60's GP DEEP DIVER question

Sep 02, 2010,12:51 PM

Hi,I am looking for some information about this deep diver  gyromatic watch

I got it today in mail and now I am considering the plan of restoring  - bezel will need it, crystal and dial are nice as well the hands

As far as I am informed its early 60's watch - the movement is gyromatic 25 jewels - #3109137
case steainless steel except for the bezel ring with number between lungs 78971288

the back is marked stainless steel and its snap it case

I saw this watch with similar dial and bezel but different hands - those hands look original to me but I have no reference as well no info about this watch - so if anyone seen it or can tell something about it it would be really great help

I ll upload some better pictures soon

My best

Rafal

Well, to me the dial looks very acceptable, as well as the rest of the watch.

Very cool find, my friend. Can't wait to see the improvements, but be careful, I wouldn't touch the case too much. It looks very acceptable, to me. Best, Nicolas

 By: robert11a2001 : September 7th, 2010-04:54

i like the way you have sympathetically improved it. i wont say restore as you havent done enough for that, but it looks just perfect the way it is. for collectors of dive watches this could be a long hard search dont you think Nico enjoy Graham
