Friends, Do you remember these shots? I have now received the Deep Diver 7897 back from the Manufacture after a very well needed SPA treatment! Exterior; light polishing of the case, cleaning of the dial, reluming the hands, new seconds hand and new plexi...

They cleaned the dial as well? Superb outcome!

And what a Watch, my friend. That would be very cool to have a re edition of that one! Best, Nicolas

Yes, bit bigger, maybe 39 mm, but true to the original....

overall, stunning outcome, but I do have a couple of questions: It seems they have refinished the dial, but why did they use a different font for the "Girard-Perregaux" in all caps as it was used in the late Sixties? Also on the lume. Is the new lume Trit...

Great watch

But shame they refinished the dial, had a lot of charme with the iconic letter font in GP signature. I thought it was in good enough condition not to touch it...

Thank you, RDL!

I really like this version of the Deep Diver! :) Best Blomman

To my eyes, it looks like tritium...

But I have to verify this. About the text on the dial - no it is all magic! ;) No, same thing, I need to check exactly what was done... I didn't say anything because I am not sure, you pick up on it very fast, my friend! Best Blomman

Really looks like a new watch !.. Great job also for dial. Indices & hands.. 1Q.. ;)

.. is it real, an optical illusion or flash effect ( if you used one), that the indices (especially the 5 mins rectangulars) now look more yellow/light greenish, while before they were more orange- patinated ? ~br> - the relumed hands - superbly done, it ...

Yes, different shades on ...

Hands and dial. I suspect tritium, but need confirmation from the Manufacture. Best, my friend Blomman
