This Chronographe is, in my book, one of the most appealing made by Girard Perregaux. Its two registers dial plus the big chrono minute and second hands arev very alluring, but that is not all. The case, its special shape, always reminded me something... ...

What hit me was the case design and execution. Again, GP shows that they hold on to their old traditions from Bautte as great case makers! :) And as you pointed out, the chrono with both minute and second central hand.... :) Thank you for sharing this one...

There are a lot of details which we love, in this watch, indeed.

no need to convince me, the Vintage 1970 Chronograph, Ref 2598 holds a special place in my collection. Now, I do have a question: on your photos, is that a white gold case? The colour is very much like white gold or did you do some photographic tricks? Th...

Here is mine with a question ...

Thank you for the info ...

Now I remember that discussion. It's a fact that the design if more a 70's than a 60's. Love this watch and now I moved it to my "fixed assets" side. Cheers, Nilo

I agree on your comments and this "cushion shape" has always been distinctive and attractive. That's one of the only contemporary watch I kept, I have it in the more "dressy" version. I bought it to celebrate the birth of one of my sons and now it is in t...
