By: blomman Mr Blue : July 22nd, 2014-00:11
Friends, Nicolas has already posted a review on this watch. The Girard-Perregaux 1966 Blue in Pink Gold Reference: 49525-52-432-BB4A Just a FYI before we start – these blue dials are horrible to take in photos! It’s almost impossible to get a good shot wi...

Hi Blomman, I think you cannot go wrong with the 1966, Ref 49525 as a classic dress watch. I also think the 38mm is ideal and size of the case is perfection in all aspects. I have once seen the previous blue dial version with Palladium case in the flesh a...

I think this photo shows the colour like it is in pink gold, eggwhite dial and brown strap. CC ...

The PG /White makes a great combo! :) You are correct about the date window, much less interferance here. Question, is the second hand blued steel? Thank you for sharing yours! Please feel free to post more photos... Maybe a frontal shot? Best Blomman

Seconds hand

Yes, the seconds hand is blued steel which gives it extra touch of sophistication. Similar difficult to take good photos. I'll try. :) CC

is that front enough?

Modern GP into your collection

 By: crown comfort : July 22nd, 2014-04:47
I think if you are seriously looking at a modern GP, then it can only be either the 1966 or the Vintage 45, both are real design classics and will not age even fashion will change. If you limit yourself to the current collection then Vintage 45 almost onl...

Funny you write this, CC!

This is exactly what I am going through in my mind for the last few month! Which way to go? If classic, my conclusions are exact what you wrote.... Are you spying on me, my friend...? ;) Best Blomman

Yes, I think you are right - with the white it's easier to play with straps. I will have to look closer on the white one... Best Blomman

Here I must go with Nicolas ;)

date window at 3 destroys zen of otherwise very handsome watch maybe worst is white background for date if blue as dial it maybe could go :) Great insights though Yours D

To change the date window background to blue...

Would be a doable middle way...? Blue with white date mubers? Yes, I can see that as a very nice combo! :) Best Blomman

The case is superb, the dial is to die for, the combo blue / rose gold is top.

 By: amanico : July 22nd, 2014-04:59
But the date... Hmmmm, on this one, was it really necessary? It would have been more pure , cleaner, without... For those who don't want to see the date spoiling the dial, there is another very nice blue dial, the Vintage 45 XXL. Best, Nicolas This messag...

You mean case is superb...?

Then I agree with all you say, my friend! :) Best Blomman

I agree about these blue dials....

being impossible to capture well in photographs. I tried with the stainless steel 1945 and failed miserably. Count me in as one who likes the date on the dial. Bill

Good to hear I am not the only one....

+1 for Date! :) Thank you for your input, Bill! Best Blomman
