Just picked up this Pogue today. Actually didn't know anything about these until yesterday or the whole 1st automatic chrono in space story. Runs, but needs a new crystal and a service. It was very inexpensive so I'm happy with it. I think it's all origin...

Looks great!

Looks correct to me except the bracelet appears to be a later service oyster. You may want to know that this is not a first production run (not a "proof" dial and is without notched crown etc) and was probably manufactured in the late 1970s. A great watch...

Thank you the info...

Great! And yes, remarkable indeed

A watch production year of '76 confirms that this bracelet is period correct. Great! After '75, this tapered "H" became Seiko's darling, and you can find them on the popular dive model of that era as well. I completely agree, the auto chrono did appear qu...

Very colorful, and an informative discussion

although I was around and even in college when this watch was produced, I knew nothing about it. Thanks for sharing it, and Matthew for enlightening us. Cheers, Cazalea
