Seiko: Shame :(

Given the rather large Seiko community in SG, i expected them to be a bit more enthusiastic about their engagement with their customers. I have had pretty bad experiences at their Vivo boutique as well previously

Horological Meandering: Indeed. The modular 8 day movement is very interesting, albeit a little thick.

The overall finish was good as well but as for my watch which came with the bracelet, while the bracelet was well finished, it was a little flimsy. I dont know whether it was the ADs mistake when adjusting my watch band or the initial QC issue. The bracelet was the main issue in my watch getting los

Mine was the 8 days Aqua. Beautiful blue dial, stick markers, solid caseback with bracelet. Still miss it because it was such a fantastic watch

Girard Perregaux: Indeed.

Just a bit puzzled by one thing though. I remember bringing another GP of similar age 5 years back for a service and it was still under service as a modern watch. And I would usually consider watches pre1980s to be vintage than something from the 90s :P

Both of you make good points. Yes, I am a little upset with GP with this matter but i also feel it is unjustified for me to push all the blame to the primary source itself because it is a multi-faceted issue. I now just hope that the watch will come back good as new and I hopefully won\'t have anyth
