The Cat’s Eye Bloom, reference: Grey - 80476D11A701-CK7A, Beige - 80476D11A801-CK8A
Another novelty for the ladies this year is the Cat’s Eye Bloom which comes in two colors: Grey and Beige.
GP call this Beige… Me, I would rather say Salomon or light pink. Beige is so… Beige! And a lady with this watch on her wrist would not be beige to my eyes…
The name “Bloom” comes from the Peony decorated dial.
About the Peony:
“Cultivated for thousand years and originating in China, it is said that the peony was the first flower to be domesticated by man. It has since remained intimately linked to his destiny.”
“The Ancient Greeks believed the peony to have healing powers.“
“During the Middle Ages in Europe, Benedictine monks cultivated this flower in the gardens of their monasteries.”
Timeless and perfect for any occasion, its beautifully ruffled petals and its infinite variations of colors have set the tone for decorative arrangements and have served as artists' inspiration.
Naturally, a guy that calls himself “Blomman” love this watch!
The “stitched” bloom pattern on the dial is made by applying 7 layers of material on top of the mother of pearl dial to create the 3D effect of the blooms.
Polished steel case, 37.84 x 32.84 mm. 64 brilliant-cut diamonds (~0.95 ct), open case back.
Inside is Cal GP03300-0097, automatic movement. 4 Hz, 46 hours power reserve.
Color matching alligator strap.
And folding buckle.
Another beautiful ladies watch from Girard-Perregaux!
Hope you enjoyed this “blooming” report!
Best
